Words of Appreciation for ManorCare Health Services - Yeadon
I want to thank you and your organization for the kind and professional care you have extended to my mother, Lee. By way of background, Lee, who is 99 years old, spent most of the 1980s and 1990s volunteering for Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital, where as head of the auxiliary, she raised over a million dollars for the hospital. After spending 10 years at [a retirement home] in West Chester, she became in need of a skilled nursing home, which [the retirement home] could no longer provide.
We had to move quickly since [the retirement home] wanted her to vacate with little notice, and living in California, this became a challenge for my wife and me. I thought of Fitzgerald Mercy because of my mother's former work and because I felt she would be more comfortable in a loving Catholic setting. It only took one phone conversation with Admissions Director Kelly at ManorCare Yeadon for her to grasp our situation and move quickly to facilitate the transfer of my mom from [the retirement home] to ManorCare. Since that time, the care and professionalism of the people at ManorCare have been exceptional, and the guidance they have provided to us 3,000 miles away has really eased our minds.
We would like to also sincerely thank Colleen and Keisha for their kind help and expertise, as well as all the people helping out my mother as she makes this transition. Things have truly come full circle, and I feel very blessed that she is once again within the Mercy Fitzgerald community.
