I write to you on behalf of my grandmother, Alice, and our family. We would like to thank your staff for the compassionate care provided to our granny. The decision to place a family member in a nursing/rehabilitation facility is an incredibly difficult decision to make. Our family struggled in making the decision to place my grandmother; however, each step of the way, your staff made the decision less painful and educated us on the process. Lori and Heather helped ease our concerns by assuring us that we would not lose control over the care my grandmother would receive and that our voice would be heard. In addition, they simplified the process in coordinating approval through my grandmother's insurance carrier. This allowed us to begin to breathe.
Everyone we encountered treated my grandmother with dignity and respected the wishes of our family. The staff listened, offered constructive suggestions and exhibited great patience. Anyone can show up to do a job for a paycheck, but true compassion comes from a heart of people who genuinely enjoy caring for others. We appreciated the quality of care provided by the ManorCare team.
When we arrived at your facility, my grandmother could barely walk and couldn't feed herself without assistance. The day we left, my grandmother was stronger, more mobile and able to feed herself. The team of physicians, nurses, and occupational and physical therapists did a great job assisting my grandmother and patiently working with her!
Please extend our thanks to your staff for their caring approach to rehabilitation. We want to extend a special thanks to the staff members we had extensive contact with including but not limited to Albert (nurse), Jonnie (nurse), Will, Duane, Ericka (aide), Heidi (nurse), Dr. Jordan, Dr. Danca, Shaniqua, Butch, Leon (therapist), Christina, Rainey, Tamika, Zlata, Amanda, Tamika, Erica (nurse), Stanley, Yolanda and the entire therapy team.
