Marilyn admitted to Heartland for skilled nursing and intensive therapy following a fall.
"I never considered needing to go anywhere for short-term rehab and therapy. I've always been very active and mobile; even at the age of 81-years-old. One afternoon all of that changed when I suffered a bad fall. I lost two liters of blood alone waiting for the ambulance. I ended up staying at Jewish Hospital Kenwood for three days. My son-in-law is a doctor and he recommended Heartland of Madeira for my short-term stay after I left the hospital. I have to say I really like it at Heartland. It was always very clean. The staff and the aides were all very caring and attentive. The whole experience from top to bottom was excellent - the food, the care and the therapy I received. All of it! The rehab team actually made therapy fun instead of work. My discharge plan was clearly communicated with me and my family also. As I leave today; I thank Heartland of Madeira for everything they did for me." - Marilyn
